Whiskey University is a national program offering over 120 structured, in-depth tasting classes focused on the history, production, and appreciation of whiskey. Designed for enthusiasts and newcomers alike, Whiskey U delivers formal, guided whiskey education in the form of 2-hour classes packed with stories, facts, and curated tastings.

Meet Your Instructor: Michael Kutner

Michael Kutner is the official Whiskey University instructor for the Philadelphia area and holds the title of Captain of the Bourbon Brigade. His passion for whiskey and decades of storytelling experience make him a natural guide through the deep, rich world of whiskey education. Michael teaches regularly at restaurants, country clubs, lodges, and other venues with bar service.

Hosting Requirements

  • Must be a venue with a bar license (restaurant, bar, lodge, club, etc.)

  • A/V setup for presentation (projector or large screen preferred)

  • Minimum attendance depends on the topic and space, typically 12–20 guests
